Stacey’s Place Playground

Stacey’s Place is a beloved playground located on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Pennsylvania Chautauqua. From dawn to dusk, the space is filled with activity — children spinning on the merry-go-round, climbing the rock, racing across the jungle gym, swinging under the trees, or playing a game of tether ball.

Older kids and teens gravitate to the basketball court, while families often relax in the shade, enjoying the gazebo, bench swing, and peaceful wooded setting.

In Memory of Stacey Pennington

In May of 2016, the playground was dedicated and named in memory of Stacey Pennington, a cherished member of our community.
For many years, Stacey led the Kids’ Art Section at the annual Mount Gretna Art Show, inspiring creativity and confidence in countless young artists.

Her joy, enthusiasm, and generous spirit touched the lives of many — and today, those qualities continue to shine through the hundreds of smiling faces that enjoy this delightful setting.

Support & Maintenance

Stacey’s Place is lovingly maintained by the Pennsylvania Chautauqua, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that cares for our historic grounds, shared spaces, and community amenities. Ongoing care, upkeep, and improvements are made possible through the collective support of residents, volunteers, and friends who cherish this playground.

In addition to this community support, donations help us enhance and improve Stacey’s Place — from new equipment and repairs to landscaping and special features that keep the playground vibrant and welcoming.

Your support — in any form — helps this special place thrive.
